Creativity (& Hypermobility)

Between creating this blog and this first post, a lot has happened. Most importantly, I found out that I'm hypermobile. I knew hypermobility / hEDS isn't uncommon among autistics, but it never felt like any of the 'signs' applied to me. But sure enough, I am.

So while I had planned on actually starting this blog forever ago, I've been putting a higher priority on my health. My energy most days is split between life responsibilities, caring for my health (including a new year-long exercise program), and what little I have left over is for my various hobbies.

Trying to untangle who I am from my creative output has been difficult. My monthly habit trackers are often discouraging, but I am proud of the progress I've made so far. I can't imaagine not creating, even if I can't do it exactly--or as frequently--as I used to. Even now, there are still uncertanties, more testing, more continous effort. Which is why I decided I need this blog more than ever.

Future blog entries will be separated by General Life / Health Journey updates, Hobby updates, and the Media Reviews. Hopefully filterable via tags. I'm hoping that posting about various things I'm working on--whether health or art--will help keep me accountable, and be a nice extra way to document how I choose to spend my time.

Near this blog's post update, there should be some "art" from this year in the gallery, so feel free to check that out when it's available if you'd like. My next task to tackle is my first media review, so hopefully I can get that typed up before this month ends.

If you've made it this far, thanks for reading! This post is a little bare-bones, but with so many different points of interest, I believe it's a better idea to keep the posts somewhat contained by their content. Until next time~
